Women’s Retreat
Essex Conference Center
Usually
in February or March
For about the last 20-25 years some of the women of the church have
been attending and creating a retreat time, first a few hours and
now a 3-day weekend coming together to explore their faith and
come to know one another better. It has been an amazing community
of growth, faith, exploration, humor, strength and friendship.
Our theme each year takes on a new focus and one of
our goals is for all of us to be stretched a little bit but not
to be taken too far from our own comfort zones. One of the components
is always worship and communion with group activities and small
discussions also being part of the protocol. All are welcome and
we marvel at the years and experiences which are so well represented
and shared on this retreat. The retreat is a wonderful and amazing
experience.

Church
Yard and Craft Sale
Second Saturday in May
The
Green
The All Church Yard and Craft sale is the church’s spring fund-raiser. Spaces are available on the church “green” for rental for yard sale goods and crafter’s items. The “dealer” keeps the profits from their sales and the church raises funds from space fees and items donated to the church’s own yard sale space. Local residents and crafters are welcome to apply for spaces at the sale.
