[NOTE - THESE ARE NEW REHEARSAL TIMES]
You only need to make 2 out of 3 rehearsals.
The pageant will be on Sunday, December 17 during worship. For more information, email Richard at email@example.com.
Bring the Stars to the Sanctuary
The star canopy returns to the Sanctuary in time for Advent and Christmas. We need volunteers to help put up the stars and raise the canopy on Saturday, December 2nd from 10am-12pm.
If you have a few minutes to spare, please come by. The Chancel Committee will also be decorating the church and can also use some extra hands. For more information, email Richard at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Advent Celebration Time!
It's that time of year again folks! We will be having our annual Advent Celebration Potluck on Sunday, December 3rd from 5-7pm. For those of you who are new to FCC, this event has been a tradition for over 50 YEARS! We will have dinner, lively discussion and make advent wreaths to adorn our home dining tables.
Cynthia could use some help with set up (tables, chairs, tablecloths, etc.) an hour or so before the event. Also, she could use a few Youth Group members or Junior deacons willing to make ornaments with Wendy Cabot. She gives out these ornaments to folks when her group goes Christmas Caroling later in the month. Kim Young has graciously offered to play the piano for the sing-a-long portion of the event, but Ceci Lebeau is not available to lead us in song this year.:( I am hoping there is someone out there willing to take on this role?
Please contact Cynthia Listewnik if you are able to help out in ANY WAY. Many hands make light work! If you have wreath frames, please return them to the church as soon as possible. Please note that bread (GF option available) and drinks will be provided. We hope to see you ALL there!
February 204, 2018
The holiday season is approaching and our thoughts turn to many things including the planning and organization of the First Church Annual Women's Retreat scheduled again at Rolling Ridge Conference Center in Andover, MA, February 2-4, 2018. Reverend Bonnie and Laura Orth will again be our retreat leaders. This will be our third year in this lovely and accommodating retreat center, about an hour away from Holliston.
We will arrive on our own or via carpools in Andover late Friday afternoon, hopefully for 6PM dinner together, returning to Holliston following lunch on Sunday.
There is ample space for indoor and outdoor activities, games, exercise, free time, meditation, and naturally, our theme related group events. We surely hope you are able to join us this year for fellowship and personal reflection related to our theme.
The inclusive cost for the Retreat is $300.00 for double occupancy and $340.00 for single occupancy (limited availability on a "first come, first serve" basis). This fee includes 2 nights' accommodation, 6 delicious meals, bed linens and towels. Many rooms include a private bath. Registration is limited to about 25
women. The Center attempts to accommodate dietary needs and restrictions at a small additional charge.
We will appreciate your full payment by December 20, 2017 to facilitate our logistical planning. If you must split your payment, it must be paid in full by January 10, 2018. For scholarship assistance, please contact Rev. Bonnie directly. Checks should be made out to: FCC Holliston, with Women's Retreat in the subject line.
Any initial questions, please contact Linda Towle at 508-269-5336. We will be at coffee hour for initial signups and to receive your payments. If you care to help in planning the retreat or
have suggestions, please let us know.
This FCC Women's Retreat has a long history providing spiritual renewal, new relationships, a deepening
of personal Faith, relaxation and personal time-and so much more. It is a well deserved and wonderful weekend away from home and family responsibilities. Please consider joining with us for this February weekend.
I hope to hear from you and please contact me with any questions.
Blessings, Linda Towle
