Habitat for Humanity
First Congregational Church has been asked to supply up to 30 people to do hands on work on the two Habitat for Humanity homes being built in our community. All kinds of asks need doing and no experience is necessary. Teens must be 16 or older in order to use equipment but younger children can help make lunches and do other tasks.
The date is Saturday, April 29th. Please put this on your calendar and look for sign-up sheets in February.
New Member Orientation
Whether you have been attending worship and participating in church activities for a few months or for many years, you may feel that now is the time to be received into membership at the First Congregational Church of Holliston. If so, we invite you to attend our new member orientation in the parlor on Sunday, April 30th from 11:15am to 12:30pm. New members will be received on Sunday, May 14th. Please contact Rev. Bonnie at email@example.com or Paula at firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up. We are happy to provide child care, just let us know you need it so we can plan accordingly.
FCC’s High Tea
You are cordially invited to join your fellow FCC members for an afternoon of tea, refreshments, and royally good company. FCC’s Spring High Tea will take place on Sunday, June 4th from 3 - 5 pm at the home of the Fauth family. This event is for adults and teens who would like to put on their “Sunday Best” and mingle over a cup of tea, fancy tea sandwiches, and assorted sweet treats. Please bring a platter of ‘High Tea’ finger food to share, as well as your favorite teacup. Tea will be provided. Due to space constraints, a maximum of 25 guests will be accommodated. Please RSVP to Paula in the church office
at email@example.com before May 26th.
Sharing Our Abundance With Our Neighbors the First Sunday of Every Month
The first Sunday of each month is "Food Pantry Sunday" at our church. When you come to church each Communion Sunday, please bring items for the pantry and place them in the baskets at the back of the sanctuary. Suggested donations for the Food Pantry this month are: Paper Towels, Progresso Soups, Canned Tuna, Canned Turkey, Cookies, Cereal and Snacks for kid’s lunches. The food we bring will be brought to the food pantry each month. Thank you so much for spreading the love of God in Holliston!
Meet our Minister
Are you new to FCC? Have you been wanting to catch up with Bonnie to share a thought or idea? The first Sunday of each month, Bonnie will be in the ladies parlor during coffee hour to hang out with whomever would like to stop by.
Grab a cup of coffee and come in. No agenda, just a time for us to get to know you better. Hope to see you there!
Altar flowers are needed for the following Sundays: April 30. Please contact Karen McCue if you are interested.
The Caring Connection Contact person for April is Elaine Stewart-Hart.
