![]() Mission at First Congregational Church takes many forms. Knowing that we are called to what Jesus called the “greatest commandment of all” - to love our neighbor as ourselves- we strive to make a difference in God’s creation both at a local and global level.
Each year, through our Christian Outreach program we give away more than $30,000 to established charities as well as respond as needed to world-wide disaster relief. Through our school, the Holliston Community Children’s Center, we award close to $40,000 in scholarship for children to attend our high quality program. In addition to direct aid, we also participate in many “hands-on” outreach programs. Each month we prepare and serve meals for The Salvation Army. We are always in need of people to cook. If you are interested please contact Kim Young. At Christmas, we provide gifts for families through Project Just Because and our youth travel to Boston on a regular basis to serve at soup kitchens. Through our international missions program, we have had church members travel to Costa Rica to build homes and churches through Strong Missions. We are always open to new ideas for mission projects for church members of all ages. If you have a suggestion or would like to participate in mission at FCC, please contact Rev. Bonnie. |
![]() Sharing Our Abundance With Our Neighbors
Most of us know that we have a food pantry here in Holliston, but did you know that while the number of donations has gone down, the number of people in the community who register to use the pantry is on the rise? In an effort to share what we have been given with our neighbors, the first Sunday of each month is now be "Food Pantry Sunday" at our church. When you come to church each Communion Sunday, please bring items for the pantry and place them in the baskets at the back of the sanctuary. The food we bring will be brought to the food pantry each month. Thank you so much for spreading the love of God in Holliston! |
