Chancel Choir	When and where are rehearsals? Rehearsals are Thursday nights from 7:30 to 9:00 PM in the Choir Room. On Sunday mornings, warm-up begins promptly at 9 AM. What do I need in my choir folder? A pencil and some tissues. Please mark your music only in pencil. Please do not use pen or a highlighter when marking your music. What do I do if I can't come to rehearsal on Thursday night? There will be a calendar posted in the Choir Room for absences or tardies. Please note the Thursdays and Sundays you won't be able to sing in Choir. If you can't come to rehearsal for an unexpected reason, you can either email Richard or give him a call at 781.249.9534. Where can I find the anthem schedule? You can download a pdf of the anthem schedule here. Do the anthems need to be memorized? No, the Chancel Choir does not need to memorize the anthems. Should I sing on Sunday if I don't know the anthem? If you haven't rehearsed the anthem at least three times before the Sunday we are performing, then you should sit out the anthem. Please mark your music only in pencil. Please do not use pen or a highlighter when marking your music. What should I wear on the days when we are performing? 1. Your Choir shirt 2. Girls: Dark skirt (below the knee) or pants 3. Boys: Dark pants 4. Dark shoes (no sneakers or flip flops) What time should I come to church on the days when we are performing? You should arrive at church at 9 AM already dressed and prepared to warm up and sing. What if I forget my concert dress on the days when we are performing? Mr L usually sends out a reminder before the performance. Please check your email regularly so you'll be prepared to sing. When are we performing? The choir uually performs every 4 - 6 weeks. Kick Start K - 2nd Grade Choir	When and where are rehearsals? Rehearsals are on Sunday mornings from 11:30 - 12:00 in the Choir Room. More rehearsal and performance information is available here. Does my child need to bring anything with them to rehearsal? Just themselves and a positive attitude to learn some fun music! Am I, as a parent/guardian, able to stay during the rehearsal? Of course! Our church is a welcoming environment and we encourage the input and support of any parents who wish to help. Plus, you will get to see how and what the kids are learning and how their hard works pays off at a performance! What do I do if my child can't come to rehearsal on a Friday afternoon? 1-2 absences are OK because we will be reviewing the song we will be singing over the course of 7 weeks. If only 2 are missed, there will still be 5 more to learn the song! However, some performance will involve movement, the playing of instruments and singing with accompanying instruments, and all performances will require the memorization of a short song, so it is important that kids come as often as they can. If your child cannot make it to a rehearsal, please give me a call ahead of time at 508-713-2315, or email me at kharper240@yahoo.com. If they miss more than 2 before a performance, it may be decided that they do not perform until the next round of rehearsals. What should I wear on the days when we are performing? If skirts are worn, wear black tights 3) Boys: dark pants 4) Dark shoes (no sneakers or flip flops please!) What time should I come to church on the days when we are performing? On the Sunday mornings we perform (1st Sunday of every other month), your child should arrive at church at 9:30 AM already dressed and prepared to warm up and sing. What if I forget my concert dress on the days when we are performing? Miss Harper will send out regular emails before you perform, so you'll be reminded to wear your concert dress.
