The Clothes Closet resale shop was founded in 1966 as a mission of First Congregational Church. Gently used clothing and household items are donated by the members of the church and local residents. The proceeds are used to help fund non-budgeted projects in the church and for a few outreach endeavors as well. Some recent projects include the purchase of computer equipment, carpeting hallways, purchase of banquet tables and the “make-overs” of the church library and two Sunday School classrooms. The current mission support is paying for shipping children's books to a school library in Appalachia.

The Clothes Closet is staffed by volunteers, including special needs young adults, under the guidance of the Director, Sheila Joslin. The shop is open only on Wednesdays (Sept. - June) from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Donations of clean clothing (no stains or tears please) and small household appliances and decorative/collectible items are much appreciated. Contact Sheila if you have questions.
