Adult
Fellowship
At First Congregational Church,
we enjoy being together! Whether we are gathered
for an informal potluck supper or watching members and friends
showcase their talents at our annual variety show, we relish
the chance to catch up and share a good laugh with one another.
Creating social time together is important to us as we find
that it both enhances our ability to get to know one another
on a deeper level and strengthens our bond as a community.
Don’t worry if you are new. When
you come to one of our events you will be welcomed as a friend
and will soon see that fellowship is an ideal way to meet and
get to know members of the congregation. Our offerings change
year to year depending upon interest, but there are a few old
standards, such as the Progressive Dinner that have stood the
test of time. Come join us. We look forward to getting to know
you.
Youth
Fellowship
At First Congregational Church,
we believe that our youth need a safe space to develop social
ties as well as to work together to live out their faith in
service to the larger community. Our church's membership
draws from at least 5 surrounding communities so there
are many opportunities to meet new people and make new friends.
Our Youth Fellowship Director, Marie
Fyans, works in concert with parent volunteers to make things
happen, but the actually programming is based on the interests
of the youth. In recent years, we have raked leaves for seniors
in our church, visited (what turned out to be) a very scary
haunted house on Halloween and attended a United Church of
Christ youth retreat at Boston University. We balance fun and
service and no matter what we do we are just glad to be together.
For questions regarding our Youth
Fellowship program or find out about upcoming events please
email Marie Fyans.
We look forward to seeing you!
