We believe that spiritual growth, deepening our faith, and learning about scripture, history and tradition are a life-long part of our Christian discipleship. Adult Christian Education classes are not only a way to expand our knowledge and strengthen our faith, they are also a wonderful way to build community in small-group settings.
Here at First Congregational Church,
we offer a variety of short-term groups and classes designed
to fit into people’s busy schedules. Recent opportunities have
included Still Speaking Circles, a Spiritual Journeys Group,
an invitation into a life of prayer, and a book discussion course
about the Historical Jesus, and programs about science and theology.
A variety of Bible Study classes and an adult “Confirmation” program, which introduces basic Christian beliefs to people who are new or returning to church life, are also popular courses which we have an ongoing commitment to offering.
On-Going Book Study
We read current titles of interest to the group, with a focus
on contemporary religious issues/subjects/authors. Newcomers
are welcome to join at any time.
The group meets at Coffee Haven
(76 Railroad Street), Friday mornings from 6:15 - 7:00 AM. For
more information, contact Linda
